Hanoi (VNA) – The daily reference exchange ratefor VND/USD was set at 22,364 VND per USD on May 9, up 6 VND from the day before.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, theceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,033 VND and thefloor rate 21,694 VND per USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks saw slightfluctuations. Vietcombank raised both its listed rates by 10 VND to 22,700 VND(buying) and 22,770 VND (selling) for one USD.

At BIDV, the buying rate was listed at 22,710 VND and the selling rate 22,800VND, up 20 VND and 40 VND, respectively, from May 8.

The buying rate at Vietinbank kept its rates unchangedat 22,700 VND (buying) and 22,770 VND (selling) per USD.-VNA
