Vietnamese child models attend Malaysia Fashion Week

Twelve Vietnamese child catwalk models will participate in the Malaysia Fashion Week 2018, which is taking place in Kuala Lumpur.

TwelveVietnamese child catwalk models will participate in the Malaysia Fashion Week2018, which is taking place in Kuala Lumpur.

The models, aged 9 to 15, arefrom the Sao Style Academy of Hanoi, an institute of modelling and acting whichoffers training courses in fashion modelling, catwalk and photography forchildren.

One of the young talents is CaoHuu Nhat, 9, who has modelled for more than four years.

Last year, Nhat appeared inseveral shows at the 2nd Vietnam Junior Fashion Week in Ho Chi Minh City.He was featured in the latest collections by leading foreign and Vietnamesefashion houses and designers during the two-day event. 

He won the title of Prince at thePrince and Princess International 2017 contest in Thailand.

Last week, he won the prize forBest Photo at the Luxury Brand Model Awards in the Republic of Korea, afterbeating dozens of big competitors from 20 countries and territories around theworld.

“Malaysia Fashion Week 2018 willhelp our new talents develop their catwalk professional career in the future,”said Le Tran Dac Ngoc, a stylist and catwalk trainer of the Sao Style Academy.  

Nhat and his colleagues willappear in a ready-to-wear collection created by Vietnamese fashion designersfrom Dac Ngoc Design House. Most of the designs use high-qualitymaterials.

The Malaysia Fashion Week 2018started on November 19 and will close on November 25.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Archaeologists from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, the Hanoi Museum and the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities have announced the discovery of over 70 graves from the pre-Dong Son period and 40 graves from Dong Son period at the Vuon Chuoi archaeological relic in Kim Chung commune, Hoai Duc district.

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day

More than 70,000 women from across the capital city of Hanoi dressed up in Ao dai (traditional long dress) and participated in a folk dance ensemble on October 20 to mark the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Hanoi and the 94th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union.

Vietnam attends UNESCO Executive Board’s 220th session in France
