Vietnamese painter Le Dinh Quy has presented the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam with a portrait of Cuban leader Fidel Castro on the occasion of his 89th birthday (August 13).
Addressing the event in Hanoi on August 13, Liurka Rodriguez Barrios, Charge d’affaires of the Cuban Embassy, thanked the artist for his sentiment towards the Cuban leader, saying his work is proof of the solidarity and special friendship between the two countries.
Painter Quy expressed his love and admiration for the Cuban leader and people, saying that it is his honour to present the work to the embassy on the occasion of Fidel’s birthday.
Painter Le Dinh Quy, a senior member of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, is among the Vietnamese painters owning the highest number of large-size lacquer paintings./.
