The Granma, the official newspaper of the Cuban Communist Party, ran astory about the March 26 meeting on its front page on March 27, sayingthat the meeting took place in an atmosphere of fraternal feelings andmutual understanding.

The two sides discussedthe ties between the two countries and experience of each country insocio-economic development.

PM Dung also exchanged views with the Cuban leader on the threat posed by climate change and imperialism.

Fidel took the occasion to share with the Vietnamese PM results ofrecent research projects on raising food output without using geneticmodification.-VNA
