Vietnam remains in FIFA top 100

Vietnam’s national men’s football team has maintained its 100th spot in the latest International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) rankings released on December 20.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam’s national men’s football team has maintained its100th spot in the latest International Federation of Football Associations(FIFA) rankings released on December 20.

Thoughtheir ranking remained unchanged, Vietnam gained five more points over theprevious month to earn a total of 1,229 points.

AsVietnam recorded no loss during the 2018 ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) SuzukiCup, they continue to hold the number one place in the Southeast Asian region,followed by the Philippines (globally ranked No.116) and Thailand (No.118).

Vietnamheld the 99th position in June 2011 and the 84th place in September 1998.

Belgiumtops the world rankings, while France, Brazil, Croatia, England, Portugal,Uruguay, Switzerland, Spain, and Denmark follow just behind.

Europehas the most teams in the word’s top 50 for this month with 31 teams, whilethere are five from Africa and three from Asia. –VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

A cultural festival has been held in Uijeongbu city of the Republic of Korea (RoK)'s Gyeonggi province to mark the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Association (VWA) in the country.

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day

Vietnam attends UNESCO Executive Board’s 220th session in France
