Vietnam remains Southeast Asian No 1 in FIFA rankings

Vietnam’s FIFA world ranking for October remained unchanged from the previous month, with 102nd place still good for the top spot in Southeast Asia.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam’s FIFAworld ranking for October remained unchanged from the previous month, with 102nd place still good for the top spot in Southeast Asia.

The country has 1,220 points, putting theteam 17th in Asia.

In Southeast Asia, Vietnam was followed bythe Philippines and Thailand, which saw their global rankings fall.

On a global scale, France, at 1,732 points, lostits position at the summit of the rankings to Belgium at 1,733 points. Lastmonth, both nations were ranked 1st with 1,729 points.

They were followed by Brazil (1,699 points)and Croatia (1,635 points).

Overall, the top ten of the rankings sawlittle change compared to September, with Portugal, Switzerland, Spain andDenmark remaining at the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th places, respectively.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day

Vietnam attends UNESCO Executive Board’s 220th session in France
