Hanoi (VNA) - Top Vietnamese tennisplayer Ly Hoang Nam was defeated in the second qualifying round of the ongoingATP Challenger Savannah in the US on May 2.

Nam, number 418 on the ATP ranking, lost toPaolo Lorenzi from Italy, number 108 in the ranking, 0-2 (3-6, 2-6), in themen’s singles category.

Nam took a 3-1 lead in the first round, but theItalian player was able to complete a comeback to win 6-3.

Lorenzi showed continued strength in the secondround to win 6-2.

After returning to Vietnam, Nam will join the Vietnameseteam at the Davis Cup group three, Asia-Pacific region, held in the end ofMay in Singapore.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi
