HCM City (VNA) - Saigon Heat foundtheir first win in the ASEAN Basketball League after defeating Kaohsiung Truth99-86 on January 14 on their home turf in HCM City.

Heritage import JoshuaMunzon performed masterful shooting displays to score his career-high of 34points with an efficient 12-of-19 shooting, including 6-of-8 from three-pointzone, as the Heat avenged their loss to the Kaohsiung Truth in Taiwan lastweek.

Munzon also had three rebounds, three assists,and six steals in the breakthrough victory.

Meanwhile, Lenny Daniel provided amplesupport, finishing with 28 points, four rebounds, and two blocks. David Arnoldplayed his best game of the season, as well, adding 18 points, four boards, andfour dimes.

“We know our capabilities,” the Heat’s headcoach, Tony Garbelotto, said on the tournament’s website. “They out-competed uslast Saturday. Tonight, we out-competed them.”

The Heat will be back on the road on January20 against defending champions Westports Malaysia Dragons. The Truth willtake on the Dragons, as well, on January 25.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi
