HCM City (VNA) – Saigon Heat enjoyed their first win of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) season on November 14 on their home turf in HCM City.
The Vietnamese side came from behind to beat Mono Vampire of Thailand 78-73.
Will Creekmore (11 points) and Viet Arnold (23) scored the most points for the hosts, and together with Lenny Daniel (26) helped the team overcome Mono Vampire in the third and fourth sets to enjoy their first victory.
In the next match, they travel to Thailand to play Hi-Tech Bangkok City, who are now on top of the ranking table, as of November 12.
Previously, Saigon Heat lost 74-86 to Singapore Slingers and 92-100 to Westports Malaysia Dragons.
This year, the ABL includes six teams from five countries. The Heat will play 20 matches divided equally at home and abroad until late February 2016.
The tournament's sixth season marks the fourth appearance of the Vietnamese team.-VNA
