Hanoi (VNA) - Two large mural paintings, featuring lotus flowerponds, were inaugurated at Terminal 2 at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoion January 3.
The paintings, covering a wall with a total area of 360 square metres, werecreated by painter Nguyen Thu Thuy and nine others from Tan Hanoi Art Company.
The paintings feature lotus ponds with the light of a sunset and white lotusflowers, creating a romantic and soft colour tone.
The lotus flower is the logo of the national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines. Itis also considered the country’s national flower.
Thuy and her colleagues previously created a piece of mural art covering apillar that is 7.4m in height and 6.4m in diameter, featuring images of flowersand tropical trees at Da Nang International Airport.
The artwork won the bronze medal at the 10th International Design Awards.
She will send her design to compete in a number of international designcontests and register at the Guinness Book of World Records Vietnam for thelargest outdoor picture in Vietnam. –VNA
