Hanoi (VNA) - The No 3 seed pair of Ly Hoang Nam of Vietnam and Yu Cheng-yu ofChinese Taipei was ousted from the Singapore F2 Men’s Futures tennis tournamenton May 30.
They were defeated 6-2, 4-6, 8-10 by wildcard receiver Sherwin Foo and RoyHobbs of Singapore in an 85-minute match in the first-round match of thedoubles category.
Namwill now focus on the singles. As No 7 seed, he will play Sho Katayama of Japanin the first match.
Inother matches on May 30, Yu beat Dalwinder Singh of India 6-3, 6-1;Hobbs was beaten 1-6, 2-6 by No 5 seed Vijay Sundar Prashanh of India.
Titlefavourite Ramkumar Ramanathan from India won 6-1, 6-0 over Shaheed Alam ofSingapore.
