Da Nang (VNA) – The culture and people of the Netherlands grow closerto Da Nang residents through the “Dutch Day” held in the central coastal cityon May 26.
The event, held by the Dutch Embassy and Consulate General in Vietnam incollaboration with the municipal People Committee, is part of the activities tomark 45th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between Vietnam and theNetherlands (April 9).
It featured a wide range of activities, including “Bike Ride”, photoexhibition, book exhibition, and information exchange on studying in theNetherlands, among others.
At the event, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Ho Ky Minh saidthat the “Dutch Day” will help enhance friendship and cooperation between DaNang and Dutch localities, making contributions to fostering the bilateral tiesbetween the two countries.
According to Dutch Consul-General in Ho Chi Minh City Carel Richter, the “DutchDay” will continue its journey to Da Lat city in the Central Highlands provinceof Lam Dong in June, the northern port city of Hai Phong in September and theMekong Delta city of Can Tho in November, focusing on agriculture, maritime andclimate change, respectively.
The events will serve as venues for businesses of both sides to meet and seekcooperative opportunities, he said.-VNA
