World Fitness Federation Asia-Pacific Championship to take place in HCM City

The World Fitness Federation (WFF) Asia-Pacific Championships 2022 will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on October 15 with the participation of 200 athletes from 21 countries and territories.

Hanoi (VNA) – The World FitnessFederation (WFF) Asia-Pacific Championship 2022 will be heldin Ho Chi Minh City on October 15 with the participation of 200 athletes from21 countries and territories.

The tournament is a part of the annual competitions of the WFF, which brings together over 100 member federations around theworld.

The athletes will compete in six categories, namely Bodybuilding, Men's Physique, Men's Sport Model, Women's Sport Model, Women's Figure and Women's Bikini. 

WFF President Greame Lancefield arrivedin Vietnam on October 12 to train and present certificates to referees whowill take part in the event.

Pham Trong Binh,President of WFF Southeast Asia and WFF Vietnam, will also act as an instructorfor the training course.

Vietnameseathletes taking part in the tournament include Se Pha who won a gold medal in theover 70kg category at the Asian Bodybuilding andPhysique Sports Championships in 2008 and TonHoang Khanh Lan who won a gold medal at the World Bodybuilding and FitnessChampionships 2018./.

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Archaeologists from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, the Hanoi Museum and the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities have announced the discovery of over 70 graves from the pre-Dong Son period and 40 graves from Dong Son period at the Vuon Chuoi archaeological relic in Kim Chung commune, Hoai Duc district.

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day

More than 70,000 women from across the capital city of Hanoi dressed up in Ao dai (traditional long dress) and participated in a folk dance ensemble on October 20 to mark the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Hanoi and the 94th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union.

Vietnam attends UNESCO Executive Board’s 220th session in France
