Fiveteams will be competing in the tournament, with Vietnam taking onSingapore on August 18. They will later go up against East Timor,Thailand and Myanmar.
"They have undergone intensive training andplayed in friendly matches in preparation for this tournament. We'renow ready for every match," said Nguyen Duy Hung, the head coach.
"TheVietnam Football Federation (VFF) has created the best conditions forthe team. We hope that they will do their best during the event in thespirit of fair play," said Le Hoai Anh, VFF General Secretary, at thesend-off ceremony in Hanoi.-VNA
