Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamese marksman Ngo Huu Vuong brought home a gold medal at the Southeast Asian Shooting Association Championship (SEASA) 2016 at the Hanoi based-National Sports Training Centre on November 8.

Vuong took the lead in the men’s 10m running target mixed with 378 points. Putra Muhammad Sejahtera Dwi of Indonesia took silver medal with 370 points.

In the team event, Indonesia won gold, while Vietnam received a silver medal.

In the men’s 25m standard pistol, Phan Xuan Chuyen of Vietnam took gold medal with 566 points. Lim Swee Hon of Singapore grabbed silver with 561 points, while Lee Wai Kin of Hong Kong won bronze with 557 points.

In the men’s team’s 25m standard pistol, Vietnam’s team, including Ha Minh Thanh, Bui Hong Phong and Hoang Minh Phung, won the gold medal. The runners-up were Thailand and Hong Kong.

In the men’s junior rifle prone, with 614.5 points, Vongsukdee Thongphaphum bagged the gold medal. The silver medal went to Vietnamese shooter Bui Anh Tung.

In the team event, the gold and silver medal went to Thailand and Vietnam, respectively.

The last category of the day, men’s junior 25m standard pistol, saw Low Wei Chern of Malaysia pick up the gold medal with 559 points. Vietnamese Pham Quang Huy got silver with 554 points, while Promnukal Donlaphat of Thailand took bronze with 523 points.

In the team event, Vietnam won gold medal with total points of 1,638 and Thailand were the runners-up with 1,498 points.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day

Vietnam attends UNESCO Executive Board’s 220th session in France
