HCM City (VNA) – The VinTechtechnology development company’s big data research institute announced onDecember 6 that it will start a 4.5-million-USD project on building Vietnamesegenome data next year.
The project, set to run for five years, willdecode genomes of 1,000 people to generate mass data for local and foreignresearchers.
The data will aid the early treatment ofsome diseases and develop treatment methods suitable for each individual.
VinTech is an affiliate of Vietnam’s leadingconglomerate Vingroup. It researches and acquires licences from Vietnameseorganisations to bring initiatives and technologies to life.-VNA
