Hanoi (VNA) – The Hanoi Department of Information and Communications, in cooperation with the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem district, has launched a campaign to promote the National Digital Transformation Day and the capital city’s Digital Transformation Day (October 10).
Speaking at the event, Deputy Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Ha Minh Hai said the capital city has achieved many positive results in the digital transformation process over the last two years.
In particular, Hanoi developed and launched the Digital Capital Citizen app iHaNoi which has become an effective online interaction channel between citizens, businesses, and the municipal administration.
In digital technology application, Hanoi prioritises tasks connected to the residents and focuses on addressing urgent issues, bringing benefits to the mass, the official said.
He urged members of the community digital transformation teams to mentor locals in using services and applications to promote a digital economy and society.
In celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Hanoi Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - 2024), the city launched an initiative to encourage the use of smartphones connected to the Internet and installed the iHanoi app, digital identification and bank account registration, and learning technology skills, thus ensuring information security and promoting online culture./.
