Hanoi (VNA) – Top Vietnamesefemale swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien pocketed two silver medals at the Arena ProSwim Series 2017, in Atlanta, the US, on May 4-7.

Vien won her first silver in thewomen’s 1,500m freestyle with a time of 16:28.18. With this result, she brokeher national record set at a tournament in Charlotte, the US, in 2014.

Her second silver was in the women’s400m medley on the second day of the event. She clocked 4:45.25, slower thanher best time in this category of 4:36.85 at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Archaeologists from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, the Hanoi Museum and the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities have announced the discovery of over 70 graves from the pre-Dong Son period and 40 graves from Dong Son period at the Vuon Chuoi archaeological relic in Kim Chung commune, Hoai Duc district.

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day
