Vietnamese singers to sing in youth show

Hanoi (VNA) - The show Khat Vong Tre (Young Aspiration),an annual entertainment programme, will be held at Quan Ngua Sports Centre, 30Van Cao street, Ba Dinh district on December 12.

The show will feature Vietnamese pop singers like Doan Trang, Ha Anh Tuan, PhuongLinh, Uyen Linh, Dong Nhi, Quoc Thien, Vu Cat Tuong, Duong Hoang Yen, Dong Hungand MTV group, as well as dance companies as Oplus, Arabesque, Hoang Thong, TheSun, White Apricot and Young Aspiration.

Also, two fashion collections will be shown with performances from beautyqueens and models such as Miss World Vietnam 2015 Tran Ngoc Lan Khue, MissWorld Vietnam 2016 Nguyen Dieu Ngoc and 200 students from universities in Hanoi.

The show includes four parts, and is inspired by the four seasons in a year.

The autumn section is themed ‘August Revolution’, with songs on patriotism andthe hunger for freedom of a peace-loving nation. Winter is expressed throughperformances on solidarity and close ties between soldiers and citizens. Thespring shows victories, dreams, love and family reunions. Finally, the summershows volunteer spirit and hope for young people.  

Additionally, pop singer Doan Trang will perform Diep khuc tinh yeu (TheRefrain of Love), Uyen Linh Ao mua dong (Winter’s Coat) and Vu Cat Tuong Muahe xanh - Goc da hinh (Green Summer – Polymorphic Angle).

At the end of the show, all artists will join their voices in thesong Thanh nien Viet Nam tien buoc (Vietnam young people moveforward), composed by musician Nguyen Van Luan, first prize of the songcomposing contest to celebrate the 11th National Congress of the HoChi MinhCommunist Youth Union, which takes place from December 11-13.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Archaeologists from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, the Hanoi Museum and the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities have announced the discovery of over 70 graves from the pre-Dong Son period and 40 graves from Dong Son period at the Vuon Chuoi archaeological relic in Kim Chung commune, Hoai Duc district.

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

A cultural festival has been held in Uijeongbu city of the Republic of Korea (RoK)'s Gyeonggi province to mark the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Association (VWA) in the country.

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day

More than 70,000 women from across the capital city of Hanoi dressed up in Ao dai (traditional long dress) and participated in a folk dance ensemble on October 20 to mark the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Hanoi and the 94th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union.

Vietnam attends UNESCO Executive Board’s 220th session in France
