Hanoi (VNA) – Classics by Mozart and Tchaikovsky will bepresented by Vietnamese violinist Tran Huu Quoc, who will play alongside hisguests from the Republic of Korea, conductor Kim Joon Cha and pianist Cho EunYoung, in Ho Chi Minh City on April 19.
The artists will perform the Overture to the Marriage of Figaro and thePiano Concerto No.21 in C major by Mozart on the first half of the concert. Thesecond half of the show will feature Symphony No.5 by Tchaikovsky.
Violinist Tran Huu Quoc was born in 1973. He had been taught to playviolin by his father, composer Tran Huu Bich, at the age of five. He studied at the HCM City Conservatory ofMusic from 1980 to 1987 before going on to the Gnesin Academy of Music in Moscow, Russia where he graduated withdistinction in 2000. He won the third prize at the International CompetitionDelphic in Russia later the same year.
The violinist has already performed inAustralia and many European countries including Russia, France, theNetherlands, Switzerland, Finland and Hungary. He now teaches violin and playsfor three orchestras in the Republic of Korea.-VNA
