Vietnamese football rankings promoted

The recent victories against Singapore and India have promoted Vietnam to the 96th position in the FIFA rankings, the 17th position in Asia and the first in Southeast Asia, according to website football-ranking.com.

Hanoi (VNA) – The recent victories againstSingapore and India have promoted Vietnam to the 96th position inthe FIFA rankings, the 17th position in Asia and the first in SoutheastAsia, according to website football-ranking.com.

Before the international games in September, Vietnam was ranked97th by the FIFA with 1,218.84 points. The 4-0 victory againstSingapore and 3-0 against India helped Vietnam secure 3.05 points and 4.76points, respectively.

With the additional points, Vietnam surpassed Belarus to riseto the 96th position.

As of September 28, Vietnam has been on the world Top 100for 1,400 days.

The team’s ranking is likely to change considerably thisyear when World Cup and the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) take place./.

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Archaeologists from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, the Hanoi Museum and the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities have announced the discovery of over 70 graves from the pre-Dong Son period and 40 graves from Dong Son period at the Vuon Chuoi archaeological relic in Kim Chung commune, Hoai Duc district.

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day

Vietnam attends UNESCO Executive Board’s 220th session in France
