Buenos Aires (VNA) – The Vietnamese Culture and Tourism Weekopened in Buenos Aires, Argentina on October 25 on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the founding of Vietnam-Argentina diplomatic relations (October25, 1973-2018).
The event drew representatives from the embassies of many countries inArgentina, the friendship associations of both countries, the Argentina-VietnamCulture Institute (ICAV) and many travel firms and locals.
Addressing the event, a representative from the Vietnamese Embassy inArgentina introduced the history, cultural diversity and tradition of Vietnamas well as the country’s achievements.
Highlighting the tourism potential as well as famous landscapes ofVietnam such as Ha Long Bay, Sa Pa, Da Nang and Hue, the representative saidVietnam has become an attractive destination for Argentine tourists, with about10,000 visitors per year.
Meanwhile, Secretary of Tourism of Santa Fe province, which is adjacentto Buenos Aires, Martin Bulos congratulated Vietnam on the country’ssocio-economic attainments over the years, with average GDP growth of nearly 7percent.
Bulos briefed participants on tourism in Santa Fe, underlining that thecultural week will promote friendship and mutual understanding between peopleof Argentina and Vietnam.
During the event, travel firms of both countries had a chance to meetand seek partnerships. A photo exhibition was also held to introduceVietnam.-VNA
