The two-day festival is co-organised by the Vietnamese Ministry ofCulture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK.
Apart from performances featuring Vietnam ’s traditional characters,there will be a seminar on the country’s tourism sector, exhibitionsdisplaying handicrafts and photos on the land and people of Vietnam ,and a campaign to vote for the new Seven Wonders of the World .
The festival will close with a special open-air performance staged by Vietnamese and RoK performers on Aug. 27.
Addressing a seminar themed, “Vietnamese Tourism – Promotion andInvestment”, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh saidthe festival is expected to contribute to increasing mutualunderstanding, friendship and cooperation between the people ofVietnam and the RoK.
Also on Aug. 26, Anh paid acourtesy visit to Busan’s mayor Hur Nam-sik, during which the Vietnameseminister said that the strategic partnership between Vietnam andthe RoK has developed fruitfully in all fields, including the culture,sports and tourism sector, with various activities launched in bothcountries./.
