Around 1,000 people attended the opening ceremony, which was held inthe Cultural Palace in the capital city of Ufa, to see 14 performancesby Vietnamese artists.
Host artists also joined in the event by staging a number of performances.
Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Tran ChienThang said the cultural event not only aims to introduce theBashkortostan people to Vietnamese culture but also to create a chancefor the two sides to exchange and learn about each others’ cultural andspiritual treasures.
Bashkortostan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture andNationalities Policy, Ilydus Ilishev, expressed his hope that the eventwould help strengthen bilateral ties, especially in the fields ofeconomy and culture.
The entire corridor and vestibule of the palace was used to showcaseVietnam’s traditional musical instruments, handicrafts and traditionalcostumes./.
