New Delhi (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy in India and Hyatt Regency Hotel co-organised anevent in New Delhi on March 18 to promote Vietnamese cuisine.
Vietnamese Ambassador to India Ton Sinh Thanh saidthe event was one of a series of activities designed to celebrate the 45th foundinganniversary of Vietnam-India diplomatic ties (January 7, 1972-2017), the 10th anniversary of the establishment of strategic partnership (July 2007-2017) and the1st anniversary of comprehensive strategic partnership (September2016-2017).
Thanh introduced to participants, includingforeign diplomats, Indian officials and people and international friends, thediversity of Vietnam's cuisine, adding that they demonstrate the brilliant harmonyand balance of ingredients and flavours that ensure a healthy lifestyle.
International friends can get an insight intoVietnam’s culinary culture in particular and the country’s culture in generalthrough Vietnamese foods, he noted.
The ambassador also hoped the event will bringVietnamese cuisine closer to Indian people and international friends.
During the event, the participants enjoyed traditional specialties preparedby Vietnamese chefs, who will stay for nine days to instruct chefs of HyattRegency Hotel how to cook Vietnamese dishes.- VNA
