Vietnam, US cooperate in combating transnational drug trafficking

Hanoi (VNA) – Acting Administrator of the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Uttam Dhillon hasbeen working with relevant Vietnamese agencies to fight transnational drugtrafficking.

According to the US Embassy in Vietnam, during his recent working visit toVietnam, Dhillon met with Minister of Public Security General To Lam and Lieutenant-General Pham Van Cac, General Director of the Investigation Police Department on Drug-relatedCrimes.

Dhillon recognised the importance of the strategic relationship between the DEAand Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security.

He reaffirmed that the DEA will continue to collaborate with its partners inVietnam to strengthen the ministry’s efforts in combating transnational drugtrafficking organisations./.
