Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam topped the medal table of the Jiu-Jitsu Regional Championships for South East and East Asia which was recently concluded in the My Dinh Indoor Athletics Gymnasium in Hanoi .
The Vietnamese athletes pocketed ten gold medals, seven of which were won by those from Hanoi .
This year, the competition attracted over 100 competitors from ten countries and territories competing in 18 categories.
Jiu-Jutsu, partly similar to Japanese Judo martial art, was originated in Brazil .
The martial art will be in the Asian Beach Games to be held in the central coastal city of Da Nang in September.-VNA
