Hanoi (VNA) - The Vietnam U-23team tied with Palestine 1-1 in the friendly match held in China on January 4.

The match was a warm-up for the AsianFootball Confederation (AFC) U-23 Championship finals.

It was rainy and very cold so the two sidesdid not play to their best form.

Vietnam opened the score in the 49th minutethanks to striker Ha Duc Chinh. However, Palestine levelled the score in the67th minute.

Vietnam are in Group D of the AFC eventalongside Syria, Australia, and the Republic of Korea (RoK).

The tournament will kick off on January 9. Vietnamwill first face the RoK two days later then they will meet Australia on January14 and Syria on January 17. - VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange
