Hanoi (VNA) - New trend andgrowth models in the footwear industry will be the main topic of discussions atthe Vietnam Footwear Summit 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City from March 21-22.

According to the Vietnam Leather, Footwear andHandbag Association (Lefaso), the event is expected to help local businessesgrasp international footwear development trend, apply new materials andinformation and technology (IT) to slash costs and meet environmentalrequirements.

Provided with sufficient information fromforeign experts, Vietnamese footwear producers will be able to pen vision anddevelopment strategies.

The event will also give local firms a chance to meetwith customers from 20 countries worldwide.

Vietnam’s footwear industry has enjoyed a giantstride thanks to the bilateral and multilateral trade agreements as well as thefourth industrial revolution. However, enterprises need to renew to keep pacewith latest trend and join the global supply chain. - VNA
