Hanoi (VNA) – Domestic and world’s leading experts in footwear willgather in Ho Chi Minh City next month for their summit.

The Vietnam Footwear Summit 2018 which will take place at Saigon Reverie Hotel,Ho Chi Minh City from March 21-22, will discuss new trend and growth models infootwear industry.

According to Phan Thi Thanh Xuan, Vice President and General Secretary of theVietnam Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association (Lefaso), the event isexpected to help local businesses grasp international footwear developmenttrend, apply new materials and information and technology (IT) to slash costsand meet environmental requirements.

Provided with sufficient information from foreign experts, local firms will beable to pen vision and development strategies, she said, adding that they willhave chance to meet with customers from 20 countries worldwide.
