In the last day of the competition, Vietnamese martial artists didwell in combat events to add more 12 gold medals thanks to some bignames such as Nguyen Trong Cuong, Pham Thi Thu Hien, Ha Thi Nguyen andLam Thi Ha Thanh.
In the previous days, Chau Tuyet Van, Le Thanh Trung and their teammates performed well in Poomsae events.
Philippines came in second with 21 gold medals, 26 silvers and ninebronzes while the third place went to Malaysia with five gold medals,nine silvers and 19 bronzes.
The tournament,held at the Lanh Binh Thang Gymnasium in HCM City, drew 337 martialartists from 10 countries in Southeast Asia and served as a warm-upcontest for the 28th Southeast Asian Games, which will take place inSingapore this June.-VNA
