The Vietnamese athletes will join variousevents in taekwondo, judo and traditional martial arts.
Head coach of the Vietnamese taekwondo teamNguyen Thanh Huy said all athletes are striving for the best performance. FiveVietnamese taekwondo martial artists, including medallist Chau Tuyet Van, areset to compete in events held from September 1-3.
A total of 2,414 athletes vie for 271 setsof medals in 20 sports at the tournament, including wrestling, taekwondo, aikido,ju-jitsu, Muay Thai, sambo, savate and wushu, among others.
Notably, the event also drew theparticipation of 369 top ranking martial artists of the world.
The 2019 Chungju World Martial ArtsMasterships will run until September 7.-VNA
