Vientiane (VNA) – The Da NangOrthopedics & Rehabilitation Hospital handed over materials to makeprosthetic arms and legs to orthopedics centre 686 in Keun village of Vientianeprovince, central Laos, on January 12.
The materials are worth 2.2billion VND(96,800 USD).
This is the fifth time since December 2015the hospital has provided materials for the Lao centre, as part of aState-funded project worth over 48 billion VND (2.1 million USD).
The project aims to boost capacity for thecentre, which supplies prostheses for invalids and people with disabilities inLaos.
In the coming time, the Da Nang hospitalwill continue helping the Lao facility train human resources, particularlyprosthetic technician.
The Keun village orthopedics centre was put into operation in December 2015.-VNA
