Hanoi doctors provide facial surgeries to Lao patients

A group of 18 doctors from the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Hospital of Hanoi are in Vientiane to provide free-of-charge facial surgeries to Lao patients.

On May 10 and 11, the doctors conducted surgeries on 53 patients withcleft palates and hare lips and other facial deformities.

The mission, which will conclude on May 14, was under the agreement onmedical cooperation between Hanoi and Vientiane , which was signedin 1999. Since then, Hanoi sent doctors to Vientiane every year./.

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.
