Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam Airlines, Korean Air and ChinaAirlines will join hands to promote Vietnam’s tourism and expand extensive cooperation in manyareas.
Vietnam Airlines’ representative said onSeptember 23 that the partnership will help optimize benefits, incentives andservice quality for passengers of the three airlines, while creating conditionsfor Vietnam Airlines to improve its competitiveness in the international market.
Under the cooperation programme, the three sides will focus on promoting tradeand tourism in the RoK and Taiwan, participatingin joint booths at major events, and introducing famous sea tourism destinationsof Vietnam such as Ha Long, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc, thereby attracting tourists from the Republic of Korea andTaiwan to explore the beauty of Vietnam.
The three firms are committed tocoordinating in joint sale programmes, expanding joint venture cooperation onroutes between Vietnam with the RoK and Taiwan; routes from Vietnam to the USand Canada transiting in Taiwan and vice versa.
Code-shareflights to North America are an important premise for Vietnam Airlines todevelop products that directly connect Vietnam and the US.
The carriers agreed to use each other's ground services, good services, andaircraft technology at the bases of each carrier. The three firms consideredthe possibility of elevating cooperation to a new, tighter form such as a jointventure in the near future./.
