Vietnam Airlines opens new routes to Indonesia’s Bali, Thailand’s Phuket

Vietnam Airlines announced on September 18 that it will launch two new routes connecting Ho Chi Minh City to Indonesia’s Bali resort island and Thailand’s Phuket island from October 27 to meeting increasing travel demands.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam Airlines announced on September 18 that itwill launch two new routes connecting Ho Chi Minh City to Indonesia’s Baliresort island and Thailand’s Phuket island from October 27 to meetingincreasing travel demands.

The national flag carrier will operate seven flights per week to Bali island;however, due to restriction at Ngurah Rai International Airport, it will runonly five trips to the island from October 27 to the end of March 2020. Theflights will depart from HCM City at 11:10, and return flights will take offfrom Bali at 16:50 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

This is the second route of Vietnam Airlines to Indonesia following the HCMCity-Jakarta one launched in December 2012.

As for the HCM City – Phuket route, flights are scheduled to take off at 15:50from HCM City and 18:40 from Phuket on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. The carrierplans to increase the frequency of the flights to seven per week from the endof March 2020.

Besides, Vietnam Airlines will re-operate the Da Nang city- Bangkok route fromOctober 27. Flights will leave Da Nang at 15:20, and Bangkok at 18:00 daily.

Deputy General Director at Vietnam Airlines Le Hong Ha said the new routesaffirm the carrier’s commitment to expanding its network and bringingconvenience to the customers. In addition, Vietnam Airlines’ charter flightswill facilitate traveling of visitors from the EU, Japan, the Republic of Koreaand many others countries to Bali and Phuket.

All flights on the routes will be performed with the use of Airbus A321aircraft with four-star international quality service.

On the occasion, Vietnam Airlines offers a discount of up to 50 percent fortwo-way tickets to Bali and Phuket. Accordingly, passengers can buy round-triptickets on HCM City-Phuket route from 19 USD, and HCM City-Bali route from 69USD during September 20 to November 10.

The same time, two-way tickets on Da Nang-Bangkok route can be purchased at preferentialprice from 15 USD.
