Hanoi (VNA) - National flag carrier VietnamAirlines on March 5 announced that it will increase flights from HoChi Minh City to Singapore and Taipei (Taiwan) to meet the rising demand ofpassengers to these attractive destinations.
As scheduled, from March 27, theairline will launch an additional four round-trip flights on each airroute. The new flights to Singapore will departure at 19:25 on Mondays,Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, while the reverse flights will begin at 23:25on the same days.
Meanwhile, the flightsto Taipei will leave at 2:05 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays; andthose returning to HCM City will take off at 22:10 on Mondays, Wednesdays,Fridays and Saturdays.
The plan will help increase the airline’s total flights from HCM City to Taipeiand Singapore to 11 and 25, respectively. Four-star Airbus A321 will be usedfor all these flights.
Vietnam Airlines was recognised as a 4-starairline for two consecutive years in 2016 and 2017 by the international airtransport rating organisation Skytrax.
It targets a 13 percent increase in revenue and an 8.3 percent rise in thenumber of passengers in 2018.
Apart from Asia, the airline is also seeking to expand their markets in Europe.-VNA
