HCM City (VNA) - Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on October 9 welcomed a new aircraft bearing the image symbolizing the 50th anniversary of Vietnam - France diplomatic relations.

The welcome ceremony was attended by senior representatives from the French Consulate General.

The new aircraft has been delivered on the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam-France Strategic Partnership; and to celebrate the success of the Francophonie Summit in Paris, which gathered representatives from nearly 100 member countries. More especially, it’s right after Vietnam’s Party General Secretary and State President To Lam and French President Emmanuel Macron agreed to elevate the Vietnam - France relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The image highlights the strong bilateral ties in culture, education, history, and economy. The symbol with its white, blue, red, and yellow colors, prominently features the Eiffel Tower and the traditional Vietnamese Ao dai, standing out against the fuselage of Vietjet new-generation aircraft, attracting all onlookers at Tan Son Nhat Airport.

Earlier, on October 7, the new aircraft was officially handed over to Vietjet by Airbus at Orly Airport (Paris), under the witness of Party General Secretary and President To Lam. It rained both at the ceremony in Orly airport and upon the aircraft’s arrival at Tan Son Nhat, signaling good luck, plenty and prosperity for the people of both nations.

In 2018, marking the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-France diplomatic relations, Vietjet aircraft bearing the commemorative symbol was also delivered under the witness of then Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. The aircraft spread its wings and made a strong impression on international friends.

The new aircraft numbered VN-A539 is the 106th to join Vietjet’s vibrant fleet and the 80th one delivered by the leading aircraft manufacturer Airbus. Vietjet’s partnerships with French, German, UK, and other European entities have not only contributed to job creation in Europe but also offered greater flying opportunities for passengers, fostering aviation, tourism, and economic development in various countries.

Vietjet aircraft have not only made flying dreams of millions of people come true but also served as ambassadors to spread powerful messages and emotional vibrant symbols such as "Protect the Green Planet," "Fly Green," "I Love My Fatherland," and images promoting tourism in Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City, etc. to passengers worldwide.

Each flight with Vietjet allows passengers to immerse themselves in local cultures, celebrating the values of humanity and goodwill in every destination, country, and community they visit.

The new-age carrier Vietjet has not only revolutionized the aviation industry in Vietnam but also been a pioneering airline across the region and around the world. With a focus on cost management ability, effective operations, and performance, applying the latest technology to all activities and leading the trend, Vietjet offers flying opportunities with cost-saving and flexible fares as well as diversified services to meet customers’ demands.

Vietjet is a fully-fledged member of International Air Transport Association (IATA) with the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certificate. As Vietnam’s largest private carrier, the airline has been awarded the highest ranking for safety with 7 stars by the world’s only safety and product rating website airlineratings.com and listed as one of the world's 50 best airlines for healthy financing and operations by Airfinance Journal in many consecutive years. The airline has also been named as Best Low-Cost Carrier by renowned organizations such as Skytrax, CAPA, Airline Ratings, and many others./.
