U23 women to attend Asian volleyball tourney

The 2017 Asian Women’s U23 Volleyball Championships will be held from May 13-21 in Nakhon Ratchasima province, Thailand.

Hanoi (VNA) - The 2017 Asian Women’s U23 Volleyball Championships will be held from May 13-21 in Nakhon Ratchasima province, Thailand.

Vietnam will take part in the secondedition of the tournament alongside 12 other teams, divided into four pools inthe preliminary round.

The Southeast Asian team are in Pool B andwill play their first match against Uzbekistan on May 13. Their second matchwill be against powerhouse Japan on May 14.

The tournament served as the Asianqualifiers for this year’s Volleyball Women’s U23 Championships to be held inLjubljana and Maribor, Slovenia, at which the top two ranked teams will qualifyfor the world championship.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Archaeologists from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, the Hanoi Museum and the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities have announced the discovery of over 70 graves from the pre-Dong Son period and 40 graves from Dong Son period at the Vuon Chuoi archaeological relic in Kim Chung commune, Hoai Duc district.

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day
