U23 Vietnam continues on foreign media’s headlines

Although Vietnam lost 1-2 to Uzbekistan in the last minutes of the final at the AFC U23 Championship, what they did during the tournament won the hearts of football fans and earned praise from foreign media.

Hanoi (VNA) - Although Vietnam lost 1-2 to Uzbekistan in the lastminutes of the final at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U23 Championshipin Changzhou, China, what they did during the tournament won the hearts of footballfans and earned praise from foreign media.

Fox Sports Asia described efforts of the Vietnamese team in the final as thevictory of bravery.

The sports website together with many other international media gave positivecomments that Vietnamese and ASEAN footballs are able to join biggertournaments.

Impressed by U23 Vietnam’s performance in the match with Uzbekistan, FoxSport reporter John Duerden said that regardless of the outcome, the team was successfuland 2018 will be a big year for ASEAN football.

On its homepage, the AFC highlighted that the Vietnamese footballers havelighted up the dream of tens of millions of Vietnamese fans and written a newpage in the history of Vietnamese football.

Besides the runner-up title, the team won “Fair Play” prize.-VNA
