Hanoi (VNA) - The Toyota JuniorFootball Programme 2019 for young players aged from 9 to 12 will beheld between June 22 and August 11.

The selection round for the camp will beheld at Gieng Day Stadium in Quang Ninh province on June 22, before moving onto Thien Truong Stadium in Nam Dinh province and Go Dau Stadium in BinhDuong province on June 29. 

The final destination for the selectionround will be held at Vinh Stadium in central Nghe An province on June 30.

Up to 30 outstanding young athletes will beselected to take part in the camp in Hanoi.

Young players will be trained by former headcoach of V.League 1 club Quang Ninh Coal and former national team playerPham Nhu Thuan as well as young professional talents including Nghiem Xuan Tuof Quang Ninh Coal, Pham Xuan Manh of Song Lam Nghe An, Tran Manh Hung of NamDinh and Nguyen Tien Linh of Becamex Binh Duong.

The camp will also give participantsa chance to meet disabled swimmer Nguyen Thanh Trung whowas named  a “Hero of Change” by the Hero Project in Vietnam underthe “Start Your Impossible” campaign.  

Trung, who has won more than 40 medalsat international and domestic events, will share his life story toinspire young footballers to strive and try their best to contribute toVietnam’s football development.

The event, initiated by Toyota Motor AsiaPacific and in its fifth year in Vietnam, aims to nurture young players’passion for football and raise their awareness of the need for a healthybody, soul and discipline.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Archaeologists from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, the Hanoi Museum and the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities have announced the discovery of over 70 graves from the pre-Dong Son period and 40 graves from Dong Son period at the Vuon Chuoi archaeological relic in Kim Chung commune, Hoai Duc district.
