The event saw theparticipation of more than 300 amateur athletes from Vietnam’s agencies andembassies of ASEAN countries in Vietnam, who competed in football, tabletennis, badminton and tennis.
Addressing theevent, Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Quoc Dung stressedthat ASEAN has become a dynamic community for common peace and prosperity ofpeople and a model of regional multilateral cooperation after five decadessince its establishment.
The sport eventfosters the solidarity, friendship, mutual understanding and connection betweenASEAN diplomats, as well as encourages a healthy life of ASEAN people, he added.-VNA
