SEA Games 29: Vietnam secures seven more golds on August 26

Vietnamese athletes competed successfully on the seventh official competition day of the 29th SEA Games with seven gold medals gained in track and field, swimming and table tennis.

KualaLumpur (VNA) - Vietnamese athletes competed successfully on theseventh official competition day of the 29th SEA Games with sevengold medals gained in track and field, swimming and table tennis.

Asof late August 26, Vietnam had a total of 50 golds, maintaining the secondposition on the Games’ medal tally.

HostMalaysia still leads the table with 83 golds, while Singapore occupied thethird place with 46 golds.

Vietnamsent more than 470 athletes to compete at the region’s biggest sporting eventfrom August 19-30. They are competing in 32 out of 38 sports and aim to bringhome 49-59 gold medals for a top three finish.

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

A cultural festival has been held in Uijeongbu city of the Republic of Korea (RoK)'s Gyeonggi province to mark the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Association (VWA) in the country.

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day

More than 70,000 women from across the capital city of Hanoi dressed up in Ao dai (traditional long dress) and participated in a folk dance ensemble on October 20 to mark the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Hanoi and the 94th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union.

Vietnam attends UNESCO Executive Board’s 220th session in France
