Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – Karate andathletics athletes bagged four more gold medals for Vietnam at the ongoing SEAGames 29 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on late August 23.

Karate artist Nguyen Minh Phung madevictory after beating Thai rival Theerapat Kangtong 8-0 in the men's above-75kgkumite event.

Le Tu Chinh continued herexcellent performance on the running track to bag a gold medal in the 200mevent following her 100m gold on August 22.

Runners Vu Thi Ly and Duong Van Thai made adouble win and won two gold medals in the women’s and men’s 800m events,respectively.

Vietnam also got the silver medal in thewomen’s 800m race thanks to Khuat Phuong Anh.

Their team mate Phan Thi Bich Ha,meanwhile, secured a silver medal after finishing her 10 km walk within 52minutes and 27.78 seconds.

Also on the day, swimmer Nguyen Thi AnhVien got silver in the women’s 100 m freestyle event and her team mate Hoang QuyPhuoc also brought home a silver medal in the men’s 200 m freestyle event.

Bui Van Su came second in the1,500m race, bringing his total points in the decathlon event to 6,207, andearned the bronze medal.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi
