Hanoi (VNA) – TheIndonesian sport delegation with two golds ranked first at the total medal tally of the 29th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 29) on August 16.

It was followed by Malaysia and Myanmar with one gold each.

The Philippines was in the fourth place with one silver and one bronze medals,while Vietnam and Thailand came sixth and seventh with a silver.

Lao and Brunei each pocketed one bronze.

The silver medal of Vietnam was secured by archerChau Kieu Oanh in the women’s individual three-string bow event. Oanh got 142points in total, behind her Indonesian rival Sri Ranti with 144 points.

Vietnam has set a target of being among the topthree, with about 60 gold medals. In the previous Games in Singapore, Vietnamstood third, winning 73 titles.-VNA

Over 100 burials from 4000 years ago discovered in Hanoi

Archaeologists from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, the Hanoi Museum and the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities have announced the discovery of over 70 graves from the pre-Dong Son period and 40 graves from Dong Son period at the Vuon Chuoi archaeological relic in Kim Chung commune, Hoai Duc district.

Festival promotes Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange

Hanoi Ao dai dance marks Vietnamese women’s day
