Hanoi (VNA) – The Republic of Korea’s Seoul city and the SaigontouristTravel Service Company of Vietnam will join hands to develop tourism in bothnations under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) inked between the two sideslast month.
Both parties will work to popularise the tourism potential of each other whiledeveloping high-end tourism products in Seoul.
They will also work towards tourism growth in both Vietnam and the East Asiannation.
The RoK is an important tourism market of Vietnam and Saigontourist inparticular. The MoU is significant for Vietnam’s leading travel company as itspresence will help attract more RoK tourists to Vietnam.
Saigontourist will focus on nudging Vietnamese tourism closer to those livingin Seoul.
The signing ceremony is part of the Seoul Global Partnership Project, an actionplan carried out by Seoul to lure more international arrivals to the city.
Saigontourist was the only Vietnamese firm joining in the event, together with16 companies and agencies from Russia, India, Mongolia, Hong Kong (China),Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
It was also among the top 20 businesses bringing the most tourists to the RoKin recent three years.
Saigontourist has been in top ten tour operators in Vietnam for years. Itsbrand name has stretched far beyond the border thanks to its close partnershipwith more than 300 travel companies and agents from 36 countries and territoriesaround the world.-VNA
