Vietnamese rowers got off a good start in rowing, claiming four goldmedals and tour silvers out of seven events the country competed in themorning.
Rower Nguyen Van Linh won the firstgold medal with a victory in the men’s 500m lightweight single event,completing the race in 1:33.64 minutes.
IsadiArdi of Indonesia took silver after needing 1:35.78 to sail the wholedistance and the bronze went to Saensuk Jaruwat of Thailand.
Not long later, pair Ta Thanh Huyen and Pham Thi Thao claimed thesecond rowing gold medal for Vietnam after finishing first in thewomen’s 500m lightweight double event with a time of 1:33.35.
Myanmar came in second while Indonesia took the third place.
Le Thi An and Pham Thi Hue won the third gold medal in the women’s500m pair event, finishing in 1:38.87 minutes while the fourth one waswon by pair Nguyen Dinh Huy and Dam Van Hieu in the men’s 500m pairevent with a time of 1:27.63 minutes.
Vietnam also took silvers in the men’s lightweight double and the men’s lightweight four events.
Shooting also won a gold medal in the morning when shooting starHoang Xuan Vinh, who scored 190.9 points in the men’s 50m pistol event.Auapinyakul Natphanlert took silver and Wong Johnathan Guanjie ofMalaysia got the bronze.-VNA
