Hanoi (VNA) – Kim Hak-yong, head of the National Assembly’s Environment andLabour Committee of the Republic of Korea (RoK), has been honoured with theFriendship Order of the Vietnamese State for his significant contributions tothe strategic partnership between the two countries.
Thedecoration was handed over to the RoK lawmaker, who is also President of theRoK-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group, by Vice Chairman of the VietnameseNational Assembly Do Ba Ty at a ceremony in Hanoi on June 13.
Atthe event, Kim thanked the Vietnamese Party, State and NA, and Party GeneralSecretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong for the honour, and pledged to makeall-out efforts to contribute more to the relations between the two countriesand legislatures in the time ahead.
Earlier,Tran Van Tuy, head of the Vietnamese NA’s Committee for Deputy Affairs andPresident of the Vietnam-RoK Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group, hosted areception for the RoK lawmaker.
Thetwo sides agreed to continue seeking measures to enhance cooperation andexchange between the two friendship parliamentarians’ groups in the future.-VNA
