Reference exchange rate continues going up

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,184 VND per USD on June 22, up 19 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily referenceexchange rate at 23,184 VND per USD on June 22, up 19 VND from the previousday.
 
With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied tocommercial bank during the day is 23,881 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,591VND/USD.

The rateslisted at commercial banks went up strongly.

At 8:30 am,the rates at Vietcombank were listed at 22,890 VND/USD (buying) and 23,120VND/USD (selling), both up 20 VND from June 21.

BIDV added 35VND to both rates, listing the buying rate at 22,920 VND and the selling rateat 23,120 VND/USD./.
