On the display, which runs through March 28, are 20 photos taken by journalistand photographer Le Bich. They feature lively images of traditional handicraftvillages in Vietnam’s northern mountainous and delta provinces.
At the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mozambique Nguyen Van Trung briefedthe formation and development of Vietnamese trade villages and theirs economic,trade and tourism values.
The exhibition received a warm response from visitors, including foreigndiplomats, representatives of international organisations in Maputo, Mozambicanofficials, locals and Vietnamese expatriates.
Mozambican students were particularly interested in the ways the handicraftswere imparted to young generations, thus contributing to preserving anddeveloping traditional skills and techniques as well as protecting values ofvillage cultures.
After the event in Maputo, the exhibition will be opened at public places forMozambicans to visit and get to know more about the land and people of Vietnam.-VNA
